1yr first serious relationship just ended

please help...this is my first time posting on this relationship forum me and my boyfriend are both twenty and we are each other's first serious relationship. basically i messed up the relationship in the past by lying to my boyfriend about really stupid immature things but I came clean and told him the truth about everything about a two months ago..he told told me that he still wanted to be with me and we spent over five hours every night for a week getting everything out because that was his way of coping with it..finally he told me that was it he was over my mistakes and we were going to move past it he continually but he winded up needing to go back and talk about it for hours and hours..the worst part is that every single time we talk about it we fight and I feel horrible, its like he punishes me for my mistakes over and over even when he tells me he can move past it...yesterday he told me he wanted to talk about it more and I just lost it and told him i cant take anymore if he is going to forgive me for the past than he just needs to move on which he obviously cant and we broke up...im heart broken completley and i dont know if i did the right thing?
