How do I tell my boyfriend I’m Hypersexual?

I’ve been diagnosed with hypersexuality, and basically it gets in the way of everyday life, I’m constantly thinking about it, and I want to be able to have conversations about sex with my boyfriend but I worry that he’ll be uncomfortable. How can I avoid making him view me differently from this?
When I started dating again after being widowed, I had a list of required traits and a list of deal-breakers. I'd never have gotten involved with someone who didn't like cats (I had two at the time) Although that was true, that wasn't the first thing I discussed with my dates.
I don't know how this affects you, in your everyday life. Are you able to hold a job? Have you gone through episodes of promiscuity? Are you seeing a counselor? You don't have to answer here, but your bf will probably want to know how your diagnosis affects you and how it will affect him.
hi FREAKINGOUTISMYOKAY, I am in a reletionship where sex is a no no. I thinks that in a couple sex should not be a problem.
(Excuse quick interjection, FreakingOut)
I rest my case (from the other thread) PCUAL. That reply is THE bottom-line....said it all in a nutshell (not that it can't pose as a springboard for other potential posters' to go more into detail).
Not only that, but it could genuinely be called a (wait for it) diagnosis - or identification, if the PC Brigade prefer.
A correct one at that. :)
Question for you: how do doctors/specialists become doctors/specialists in the first place?
Answer: either because they're born that way or born with the aptitude to pick it up very quickly.
They chose it and it chose them right back.
(Think of this place more as a type of St John's Ambulance service. They're voluntary as well, I think I'm right in saying?)
Go for it! :)
PS FreakingOut:
You do have to tell him. Of course you do.
But I'd have thought the best, most intelligent way would be to ask your doctor for an appointment so that he can help you explain or do all of the talking for you.
