Living decisions

My sister and I are both in college living in a dorm right now. We are trying to decide on where to live but our University does not have the best of options. We want to live in a two bedroom apartment so that we can have it to ourselves and never have to worry about who is over or trying to have some alone time. The apartments associated with the University are super expensive for two bedroom so we started looking at apartments just in the area. The situation we are having is the apartments not associated with USF come unfurnished so that would cost some money but we do not believe it would cost as much as paying for a more expensive apartment. But with living in a University apartment, you know that there are other college students around you rather than just random people. Should we live in an apartment associated with our university or just find one in a good location that is surrounded by random people? Any answers help, thank you!

Random people can often be the kindest you'll ever meet while on the other hand, you'll need to pick a good neighbourhood. Seriously, it's up to you guys where you go, but if money is coming into the equation as it often does, then you'll be going where you can afford to go...simples.

Thank you for your response! Money is not too big of a problem but the location is super important to us. I think you are right though when it comes to meeting new people. They could become our best friends in life. I also think that now with cameras all over buildings places are a little safer than they use to be as well.
