Am I wasting my time

My boyfriend and I are both 37 and have been seeing each other nearly 18 months. I am divorced with two children and he has never been married.He is very loving sends me text every morning, wine, dines cooks for me etc. he is as romatic now as he was in the first week. We spend an least 4 nights a week together mainly couple and family things. we have been on two family type holidays.In the summer I moved cities to expand my business, I was confident he would move with me, but he refused to move, we split up for a week and got back together,suffice to say for business and relationship reasons I am moving back to the city we met. during the 4 months I have lived her way, he has got on the train every friday and spends weekends with us.however now I am moving back he says he is not yet ready to move in with me.I am devastated, although I am not nagging. I asked him if he does not see the future together,he says he does not like making promises, he feels we have a great relationship and he likes things as they are and enjoys having an occasional night to himself.he plays a team sport and they have a drink and carry night once a week. He always talks about our future and retirement plans etc. I asked him if we will have something that belongs to us as a couple, he said he wants us to get a cat. I am not sure how we can joint own a cat when we live in separate homes. I know i don't want to grow old alone, should I look for someone else?Apart from the commitment issue we have a very very happy relationship.Please help

He's just not ready yet, that's all. And if he means a lot to you, then no, you are not wasting your time. :)
