Why is he so interested in other women?

Default profile image
My husband and I have been together for 10 years. Through that he lost his job. I worked harder and tried to get us by til he found another. Well he found one along with other women. He use to talk to me during the day. You know messages saying Hi, I love you, and other stuff. Now I go 12 to 14 hours a day not hearing from him. I live a long ways from my work so I drive a lot. I am home maybe 9 to 10 hours in a 24 hour period. I sleep 8 of that. So I hardly ever see him. My problem is I found out that he has been texting some of the girls at his work. All day long, and now on the weekends as early as 5am. I am having a hard time with this. Especially since he hides it. Should I be upset?

If he's sending large numbers of flirtatious texts to female colleagues "all day long" and at "5 am", then I think you need to regard it as an amber warning light telling you that all is not well in your relationship. Being "upset" is a natural response if you suspect that he may be considering more than just sending texts. Presumably, you know about these texts because you have looked at his phone? If that is the case, then talking to him about this will probably mean that you will have to admit to prying, and to not fully trusting him. But if you have sound evidence that he is considering cheating on you, then I think you should confront him with the evidence asap. Cheating is cheating, and I think any betrayal is the responsibility of the person who commits it, but if you want to try and put your marriage back on track, then you may need to look at any issues that have led to you drifting apart. But the first step is to get things out in the open (if there are hidden issues that is) and to discuss what they mean to you, and to him, and to take it from there based on what you want for the future, and what he would hope for. Couple counselling can often help when things get really difficult. Sky
