Are you just kidding or not

I have this classmate(boy) who is really out of fashion. Thats why me and my friends decided to advice him to change his way of dressing. Yeah he did change a bit. But when he change this feeling grows inside of me. I fell in love with him. This last few weeks he started to tell me that he loves me, How he feel towards me. And he even telling it to all our classmates even to out teachers. But there's one time I heard someone ask him if he's really serious to me and he says " No, its just a joke". From that day I try to kill my feelings towards him. But I failed because he always tell me that he loves me when we are with my friends. He always call me babe, hon(which is only used for couples in our community). Now I'm wondering if he is just kidding. I'm ready to tell him I Love him but I'm afraid what will be his response. Can someone tell me if he's serious or noT? Cause I feel like dying.

It could be that he does but he's really just afraid to show it to anyone else in the class that's why when he asked he regards it as a joke. This Is a possibility since you and your freinds have encouraged him to try a different style, it could have helped his self esteem or giving him more confidence therefore allowing him to share his feelings his only backfire was the pressure or the fact that your whole class knows. Or sorry to say it can be trust he's being a douche, once again sorry to say. How bout this next time you see him or happen to get the chance to be alone with him ask him and tell hi. How you feel and honest you should give him the option of, if he does like you then you can find a private way to make it work, or if he doesn't you can tell him to cut the shit and leave you out of what he calls comedy.
