Is he still in love with his ex

me and my ex broke up a nearly a year ago but we’ve still been seeing eachother quite often.me and my ex broke up a nearly a year ago but we’ve still been seeing eachother quite often. hes had to go to jail (again) last week for a couple months, so for safety, ive had to move all his belongings into my flat, but me being me, went thru his stuff and i found a letter he wrote to his ex girlfriend 2 months ago when he was in jail, it was an unsent letter and he was telling her he missed what they had together and also said he’ll never love another girl like he loved her and how he thought she was gonna be his last, he was also asking her what went wrong with them. i feel hurt cuz, im around him 24/7 and ive helped him through so much, everytime we break up, he cums back saying he misses me, so its kinda like were on and off but not official also hes never said i love you to me. hes spoken to me about her before but when i asked if he still had feelings for her he denied i. i think she was his first love and they were together for around a year but for some reason she just stopped talking to him but this happened like 2-3 years ago. since then hes had kids with other women and hes had other girlfriends so im just really confused. i think she really must have hurt him and his pride cuz hes constantly questioning why i love him and if i i really do love him. right before he went in jail the first time, he told me he realised im the only girl who’s truly loved him unconditionly but then a 2weeks later hes in jail writing her a letter. i think he might want to give the letter to her cuz he wrote me an unsent letter when he was in there which he gave to me when he came out but it was nothing like the one he wrote to her. i’m not sure if they’re still in contact but right now im just lost. so right now im just thinking to leave him cuz i feel like i’ll never be able to replace her or fix what she done him. i dont know, i need some advise.

I think he is treating you bad. If he doesn't want to be with you then he should just tell you and let you move on and get on with your own life. You sound like you truely love this man as your standing by him and helping him out. If he wrote a letter to his ex then he has still got feelings for her so i wouldn't stand by someone who doesn't love me truely. Why don't you write him a letter and express how you feel. Tell him you love him to bits but your not going to be second best if he wants to be with you then thats fine but if he doesn't let you go and get on with your life. It will be hard at first but you will get over it and find someone who will show you the love you show them. Good luck and be strong i hope this helps.

my problem is similar 2 urs my husband has stayed in contact with his x and has caused major probs in our marraige he admits 2 meeting up with her bhind my back he says they havent had sex but i dont know if they have or never will,ive lost all trust inhim,but if u love them do u put up with it or not and if u do will they keep doing it this girl aint going away.
