Secret that harms my best friend

me and my best friend were texting and we decided to do secret for secret. well i told him an embarassing harmless secret. then he told me a bad secret involving alcohol. he is not addicted but were only in middle school. i know that alcohol is REALLY bad for tweens. but as far as i know. it was only once and i dont think he got drunk. but i dont know if i should tell an adult. if i do he wont be able to trust me anymore, but if i dont tell anyone, this could really harm him. please tell me what i should do! im really stressed about this.

Personally, I wouldn't tell anyone about this - after all, you may never have found out if it wasn't for your text game anyway. I would just tell him that you are worried about what he told you, and just check that he knows that what he did was wrong. Teens like to experiment with new things, so hopefully the alcohol incident was just a one off.
