Childhood issues / alcoholism

been with my bf for almost 6 years. His drinking has progressively got worse over last couple years. I was ready to end it,(I love him, but not how we are as a couple anymore) he then confides in me a child hood issue that happened when he was 12. Im open to ANYTHING.....he knows he has a drinking problem, he knows he should go see a counselor but.......saying and doing are two different issues! and he isn't doing anything, but still drinking.....how how how can I convince him to see someone to help him! Im at my end.....please help..with any advice.....

Hey Dear, A colleague in my office goes through the same situation as yours. I also suggested/help her the following solution & believe me it helped. Solution-:Just Be with him all the time for some days to give him all the love you can give, show him excess love. Find a doctor on your own, schedule an appointment with him & a day before that Ask for a boon (as to meet the doctor) & if he loves you he'll be obliged to fulfill that. OR Trick him into this so that at least he goes to doctor & make him understand that you guys have a future ahead and his excessive drinking problem can be an issue.(don't do this) My colleague blackmailed her BF that she is pregnant and want to die as her BF loves DRINKING more than her. Its stupid but worked. Only your love can change him as love can heal past memories. I hope things get better between you guys. God Bless you
