guy i like is confusing me and im desperate

Ok so i like this guy at my school. We were barely friends and i havent known him very long. One day, late late after school, we spent alot of time together. Also, he asked me to be his date to homecoming, and i said yes! If felt like we had such a strong bond, and i felt so comfortable around him. We talked, flirted ALOT, and finally like an hour after that, right before i left, we kissed. We hugged for a long time and i told him i didnt want to leave him. I kissed him on the cheek, then we both kinda leaned in and kissed on the lips for like 2 seconds. It was so amazing. He texted me later on and we talked. He said that he liked the kiss, and that we should do it more often! I was sure that he liked me because he said this! The next week at school, i thought the flirting and stuff would continue, but it didnt. We hugged for a few seconds everyday, but it wasnt what i expected. I saw him with many other girls. Girls were all over him, and when he saw me, he walked away, like he was ashamed. Basically, im starting to think he doesnt like me. Its awkward between us. I really want to be close to him. What should i do? He is my date to homecoming and the dance is in a week! I dont want to go with a guy that doesnt like me....

he may be fooling around with you or could be really liking you ,cannot say,dont get involved with him before you know this

Go to the dance with him as a strong confident woman. Tell him honestly how you feel but, be your own person. If he allows attention to be paid to him by other girls while at the dance with you then he is being disrespectful. Maintain your strong character and find a boy that went stag and ask him to dance. You will have absolutely make his night and perhaps yours as well! I look forward to hearing how it goes.
