I don't know what to say anymore.

So here's the thing. I have a boyfriend of 5+ years. We have been together since we were 19/20 and we have had more than our fare share of problems. Like HUGE fights and yelling and crying etc. We love each other though and we want to get married, possibly in 2 more years, and I think our fights have brought us closer together with him being my best friend and confidant. However, we are still slightly unstable in our relationship (because of all our previous problems) and being from an Asian country, I live with my parents and he lives alone, so meeting very often is an issue and staying over/ travelling together alone is an impossibility. He wants to go for an MBA now, but doesn't want to be in a long term relationship. Doesn't want to break up, and we can't get married yet. So this is making him feel like he's tied down to staying in the country instead of looking at all the possibilities. I have told him we will try and make this work, but he doesn't seem to think that the long distance thing is an option since i've gone back to studying and don't have that much money to spend on plane tickets and my parents wouldnt let me meet him alone anyway. so i'm stuck. we don't want to break up or get married yet, and I could really use an outsider's perspective since no matter how close they are, friends still tend to judge.

I don't know what to say anymore.

its confusing the guy does not want to be in longterm and yet you two are together.its a waste of time if the relationship is not going forward to the next level.
