Little bit confuse what to do..???

Hello Everybody... My problem is that i am littile bit confuse relating to my relationship because i have in a relationship with my partner from last 6 years and my parents are not agree with this relationship because of cast problem then also I ready to do marriage with my partner but sometimes i feel that my partner has hided lot of things from me as he tells me all the things by taking view that how much i am getting involve with this relationship.Before somedays i assured him that i involved completely with him then after 2 days he was telling me he used to drunk before 8 to 10 years.but now looking at him i dnt think he will do this things in furure of his life because he is self motivated and he says that he loves me a lot and he knows that i even dnt like the smell of this things.but on the other side he has given me lots of promises but not followed all. Hence i just littile bit confuse that what should i do?should I continue with this relationship by forgiving all this things or should i do break up.??please read my problem carefully and try to give best possible advice.Because i also love him lot.and your advicce will guide me for my safe future.

better clear all issues before u commit to this guy,sort things out or go to some counseillor,both should be honest in a relationship but dont be obsessed with his past
