Why is my mom bribing me with gas cards

Why is my fiancee's mother bribing me with gas cards, when I've put on 6300 miles in the last two months? My fiancee can't drive because of her seizure disorder(though it has been getting more under control recently). We currently live 45 minutes away from each other. My fiancee's current living situation is starting to really stress her out! We are trying to save money for our future wedding & a place for us to live together. The distance is also frustrating my father. My fiancee loves her mother and doesn't really want to hurt her, but sometimes her mother can be a real pain! I am also going to RCIA classes so that we can get married in my fiancee's church and get married the right way

Bronco , don't know the whole story , however it sounds like her mother is trying to help in her own way . she knows you are trying to save up your money and Gas is not cheap ! Most mother in laws are a pain :) Tell her thank you you appreciate the help, Trust me a happy mother is a happier wife . Good luck
