Worried, need help asap!

I was dating a guy my age for a month on the internet before he broke up with me (we've skyped, so he's not some kind of pedo). But, the reason why he broke up with me was because he wanted to go out with a girl he knew in real life... I wanted to stop talking to him, but i couldn't help myself. He said that it might not be the end for us, and that he would probably come back to me. His ex (She meant a lot to him because she was his longest relationship) texted him saying that she didnt want to talk to him anymore, and that she had a new boyfriend. He got very upset and told me everything. I texted him a few times but he hasnt answered in a couple of days. Should I text him again or leave him alone??
