Should I be mad?

Today, my boyfriend called went out with 2 girls who like him knowingly. He told me that there was nothing going on, and I believed him. During this time, I couldnt find him because his phone was out of battwry (he showed me afterwards). He was at my apartment with those 2 girls, borrowing their phone to call me. When he heard I was at the local library, he wanted to walk there to meet up with me. After we met up, he told me that those girls said I didnt care enough for him to wait for him at home, and that they think I dont love him at all. So I argued with him, and he left. Should I be mad at him for this?
