Just friends or more?

hi. id appreciate some advice please. im 49 and i have a very good male friend who is 32. we're both single at the minute. we've been friends for about 3 years but probably closer in the last year. we work for the same company but in different departments. im starting to feel very confused about my feelings for him and his for me. we email eachother several times a day about nothing much, mostly at his instigation..hes always asking for my opinion etc. when we go out to work dos he stays in my company all night and hes always doing nice things for me...making cds for me, running errands etc. we've exchanged birthday and xmas gifts, we have lunch together regularly and hes started asking me when are we going for drinks and a catch up (it hasnt happened yet) theres been nothing physical apart from a hug hello and goodbye. i value his friendship a lot and would never show him that i have feelings for him. anyway, theres a big age gap. i guess my question is what do you guys think is going on with him. hes a very outgoing guy and does have lots of friends but i know im probably one of his closest. if this was a guy my own age id definitely say theres some vibes there but maybe he just feels really comfortable with me because he has never thought of me in 'that way'

Do you two ever discuss guys you think are attractive? Maybe there'd be a way to tell if he's into guys like you? (by comparison) It also sounds to me like he's interested, but regardless, given the closeness you share, it should be ok to just ask if he's into you (delicately, of course) Your friendship can whether that storm, and you might find love! Why Not? =)

Spiritual, there IS a vibe there because you stated you have feelings for him. The fact that you exchange gifts for personal milestones (birthdays) tells you the closeness of your relationship. He also respects you for who you are because you state he always asking your opinion. If you completely trust this guy, then age will be just a number.
