She says she loves me then pushes me away

My best friend and I have hooked up a few times when we were drunk. The first time I was going to afghan, she cried told me she loved me and she wanted me to stay. Things didn't progress due to the circumstances, even though she said she would still be there if I had life changing injuries. We we never spoke until Halloween and she tried to get me to say I love u, I never. I stayed with her and then tried to see more of her. I'd talk to her on FB or by phone, but when it came to meeting she made excuses not to. So I never spoke to her for a few months. I then by chance found out she was in hospital and agreed to go and see her. I visited her nearly every day, to keep her company. She would send me messages and she soon started asking questions, I knew what she was getting at, so when she asked: "why are u so good to me?" I told her how I felt. She asked questions and said she felt the same, and even apologised for making excuses before. She said this time would be different, but even though I respect we need space I think she's making excuses again. Do I confront her and look needy, defo not my style. Or block her onFB and delete her number and see if she puts the effort in? Defo my style because if she dosent then she's already gone.

You don't need to block and delete. Just don't take the initiative and call her. Let her put the initiative for a while till you are sure. You guys don't seem to be in love though, it only looks like an interest in each other.

Couple things wrong with the situation. 1. You need to hookup when you're sober. 2. If you can't commit to each other by now, then it wasn't meant to be. If it was, both of you would have had the need to be together long time ago. Instead, she made excuses not to meet you. Just walk away and have no contact unless you need her as a friend, because by the sound of it, that's all you pair are.
