In love with someone who taken!

I'm in love with my best friend. We've known each other 11 years. He has been going out with a girl for a few minutes but one night we were out he got drunk an told me he liked me and how beautiful I was. The next day we talked and I told him what he said and he didn't believe me. We haven't really talked since but he has been smiling at me and trying to talk but I was just too mad. He has told my other friend that he doesn't know what to so and feels bad about it. I really don't know what to do, HELP PLEASE!
