My ex will not let me get my stuff

I moved to NY from FL in 2012 for my ex, I moved all of my household furnishings,heirlooms,everything I owned. In May 2013 I had to go back to Florida to take care of personal family matters and during this time the ex and I were communicating on a daily basis, in Sept of 13 he sends me a text telling me he still loved me but not enough to get back together. Now I am in FL unable to get back to NY to get all of my belongings due to medical and financial reasons. During this entire time I told him I wanted all of my stuff back told him my cousin who lives in NY would go to his house and get my stuff, this went on for months as he was constantly making excuses. finally the ex told me after many texts and emails to him that I am not getting my stuff because I have been gone for a long time and that I would need a court order. What an ahole. Why would anyone in their right mind want to keep someone elses things that do not belong to them. It's over, I just want my stuff I moved to NY.

He is trying to hold onto you..... keep contact and prevent you from moving on..... he is looking for attention big time. Get a solicitor and get it sorted.....

Yes the plan was marriage. However, there never was one foot out the door for me my intentions were to be with this man, having to take care of personal family matters back in FL does not warrant this kind of behavior except being supportive of one another as I was with him and his family issues. The bottom line, I just want my things and for him to keep me from getting them is quite immature to say the least.

Greta, Yes in a text. Pretty weak if you ask me, but everything happens for a reason. I now just want my things back and he can go kick rocks.
