Father of my child ex texted him? Should I be worried?

She just randomly texted him and said it was awkward but she'd forgiven him for what he did. He just replied with ok. She never texted back after that. Should I be worried? We've been making plans to get a car together I told him I don't want to make any plans with him if he's not serious. Also he was stuck on her for a very long time.

Thanks I wasn't sure how many details I should add in. If we don't go half and half on this car I'd have to move with daughter to another state. I'm at a cross road here. I've known him for 6 years now. I have no plans of moving in with him or getting married. Marriage seems so set in stone. I guess i'll have to talk to him. He's not a fan of talking about the future.
