I am seriously going insane! We are a trio of friends (2 females and 1 male) but for over the last few months I have been seeing my male friend. No one knows but when we do spend time together our female friend gets so jealous that she is spreading rumours about me. We both love each other and tell each other when we do get a chance to see each other but due to our other friend, we cannot make it official. It's slowly killing me off inside. Due to the female friend causing issues with work colleagues and other friends, we are scared to announce it. She also makes sure all his time is spent with her and when he says he is doing other things she always convinces him to let her come along. It's now got to the point that she has stopped telling me when they're meeting up and makes plans when she knows I'm unavailable. He is not interested in her at all but is scared of getting enemies from this. What can I do apart from changing jobs and getting s**t thrown at me by friends and colleagues???????

This is why I broke up with you. Inadvertently speaking, of course. As for advice: be honest and brave, I bet its obvious.

Sorry ARROW123 but I'm not getting the "This is why I broke up with you. Inadvertently speaking, of course" meaning behind your comment on my dilemma. It is of course obvious but is it really worth all the abuse it will cause when we've only been seeing each other for the last 5 months? We haven't even slept together yet (not that means anything of course).

Friends like that can be dangerous. I believe that they think they mean well, but they don't see the damage that they are doing. Sometimes they may not be aware of how they are being perceived, make it known to them, have that crucial conversation. If it continues, you may have to end a friendship. I had to end a 6 year friendship because of my friends jealously. It caused problems and home and at work. I still see her every day at work, no words are exchanged. It's uncomfortable, but it was necessary. It's not easy...just my thought...good luck.

That, can be ignored. Continuing: you don't need to sleep to be officially a couple, for fucks sake.

@ ARROW123 I know we don't have to sleep together to be a couple hence my comment "We haven't even slept together yet (not that means anything of course)".

Praise the Lord for SusieDQ. Amen, amen. Grow up, kid! I'm betting the poster is 15-17yrs old. You can't just reach work-level lifestyle and still be stupid/girly panicking like this.
