She hates my son

i live with a lady who has two teenagers who work.I have a 17 year old boy he is out of work and not contributing. she wont speak to him unless she really has to and her kids will not sit and have a meal with him. It is my fault that he hasn’t got a job and i am to soft with him. I have brought him up from the age of 11, trying to keep my job going, his mum will only see him when it suits her. I am interested in candid replies especially from a ladies point of view
