Telling my parents

Here is the story... I have been dating a guy for a year now. I met him in college through my roommate. He is from a different country (different race), and he is 10 years older than me. I am in college and this is my first boyfriend (I know, sad). But I honestly know he is the one for me. He is my best friend, he respects me, and loves me for me. The problem is that I haven't told my parents yet. Every time I've gone home from college they've asked me if I have a boyfriend and each time I've denied it. I should also mention I'm the only child, so I feel a lot of pressure in pleasing them. I've asked them if they'd be ok with me dating another race and I think they'd be ok with it. And I think they would love him once they finally meet him. So I guess I think they'll eventually accept the relationship...it's just I feel bad for lying so long and don't really know how to tell them since it's my first boyfriend. I feel they'll hate that I denied it and wonder why I kept it from them. But I wanted to tell them when I was ready not when they were.... And now my boyfriend has traveled back to his country for three months so they still won't be able to meet him :( Just really worried about their reaction...help??
