Hurtful husband

I have been with my husband for 12 years, and we have been married for 2 1/2 years. He is a hurtful person. He is never there for me when I need him, he cant accept criticism, he is very immature, and is a bad example for our children, but yet, I cant help but keep hanging on. I am to the point where I hate him!! I dread the sound of his voice, I cant stand the words that come out of his mouth, Im so sick of it. I try to show him how he treats me, and he is so self absorbed that he doesnt see what I am saying and gets way off subject, pointing fingers at things that happened a long time ago, should i call it quits??

Mam, I am no specialist in marriage but even i can't see there is plenty wrong with this marriage.. and if you feel in your head and your heart that you don't want to live with this man, then do exactly that... In my opinion you should try to change him and if everything fails then you should call it quits.... If.you live In a country like india ( where I am from) then you should think twice before taking this decision because indian society is f'd up... It isn't very kind to divorced women... Wishing the best for you...

He treats you bad while you have been there for him the whole time. Other women would already have left him, but you are still there for him. Why ? Scared for a change ? If you keep continuing this, it won't get better. Even yourself started to have a bad image of him. It will not be easy for first but try to end it so you can save the good memories before it turns into a worse one. Sometimes you have to let it go, you are worth a lot more than that but if you are with him you will never get a chance to have a guy who deserves you and cares for you. Think about it. It's been 2 and a half year of marriage (only) what will come if you stay with him for another year. Another option would be a couple therapist but it is hard to deal with a person who takes you for granted this much. Maybe if he lost you, he would realize your value more.
