Constant disappointment in relationship

Default profile image
My longest relationship is with my current boyfriend. We've been together for almost a year. He's younger than me (by 7 years) and has a lower income. I really like who I am when I'm with him, we make each other better. I guess that's why I'm constantly disappointed when I don't see him. You see, we live not so far away, but our jobs and our live styles keep us apart. Yesterday he was supposed to come to my apartment and sleep over, but in the end decided not not to, and that we could only see each other on the weekends. I had a fit. I felt that he's not into this as much as I am. I don't know if I'm wasting m time or I need to be more patient. I'm in that part of my life where I need a life partner, and I think he could be it, but what if I'm being constantly let down?Should I end this? Help please, any other points of view will help. Thanks!

Constant disappointment in relationship

I experienced a similar issue with a really good friend, so trust me when I say don't end it just yet. I felt disappointed that I never got to see him, so I cut ties and really regretted it. Obviously, every situation is different but talk to him first. See how he feels about the situation. If his goals and expectations for the relationship don't align with yours or are simply too different, then you should consider ending the relationship.
