Ex-boyfriend wants a reconcilation

My ex-boyfriend contacted me after 4 years of our break-up and he first tells me he wants to be friends. I agree on those terms but then he tells me he hasn't stopped loving me and couldn't love anyone else the way he did with me. He remembers the plans and promises we had made, loving each other and no one else, getting married and growing old together. He also told me that he had just broken up with is previous girlfriend of 2 years about 4 months ago. I obviously have some sort of connection with him because we were together for 2 years and he was my first sexual experience but I don't want to feel like a rebound. Every time his ex contacts him he gets depressed because according to him he feels bad because he couldn't love her while she did. I had sex with him again, but I feel confused as to whether or not give "us" a chance at being together again. In 4 years people can change right, maturity wise and experience. Any advice on what I should do?

you should wait a little, get to know him better (you already know him but people change) and if you really feel something then you should be together. even if somebody loves you, if you dont live them just as much, dont get in a relationship with them. it could break their heart. good luck.
