Is it a lot to ask for affection from ur partner

ipartnering have a dilemma I argue everyday for my girl to show me some love from the beginning her and her parents told me she was like tht but after two yea u woul think she would hold me give me a kiss once in a while but I'm always the one to initiate contact am I wrong to expect tht from her even after she says she loves me or should I let her b the way I met her and not expect any type of affection am I wrong for wanting the from her should I let we go or should I stay

I was the person in my relationship that did not give/show affection to my partner. We had to separate for me to learn form this. I am only telling you this as I was not brought up to show/display love. It took me to lose him torealise that I needed to change. This is a LIFE changing decision I had to learn ad make for my partner. Iam willing to now do this.
