Should I just go out and find someone else?

I have a roomate I am passionate about. When I first moved in we were very close but lately he has been avoiding me. I thought he cared about me by some of his remarks but now I'm confused. I asked him if he wanted me to leave but he got very upset and said no so why is he staying away? He is much younger than I but emotionally we seem to be the same age. I've started to think I should just go out and get laid maybe that would keep my mind off of him, but I've never picked up a man and I'm worried I'd find the wrong person. Most days I'm living in a world of 50 Shades of Grey with him yet that is so very out of character for me. I can't think of being with someone else but I need to get released from this stronghold he has over me.

If he doesn't answer you, then he is probably not worth your time. I say probably, but actually, I mean definitely. You can find someone else easily (e.g. through volunteering) but living with him while doing it may make things uncomfortable. Moving out and then looking for another partner would be the better option if he isn't looking to settle down with you.
