Is it normal for a man to have this intense of an orgasm?

So I just had sex with my new guy for the 3rd time and every time before he has done the normal guy things when he orgasms. (Heavy breathing, grunting, pleased facial expression) But last night, I suggested finishing him orally. When he came, his breathing was really intensely shaky and he was practically seizing. His face and body flushed red and he started making a really pained face like he was going to cry and started running his hands over his own body and covering his face and tensing up.
