Why does he make me cry so easily?

When my husband and I fight, I always end up in tears. He always tells me my crying is an act to play the victim? I don't know why I cry so easily and why the things he say to me hurt so much. I'm not someone that cries easily but every time when I am fighting with him, he's words just bring tears to my eyes. The worst part is even when I run into my closet and cry in there to hide from the kids seeing me, he will chase me in there and still tell me things like "I'm not going to let you play the victim" or just keep trying to prove he's point. Or when I'm crying and just want to be left alone, he will tell me I need to be shown I'm wrong and need to see the truth? Today he told me I cry because I subconsciously am needing attention, he basically starting comparing me to our 4yr old daughter. Is he right? Am I crying because of attention?

He is a bully and being verbally abusive. He should not be fighting in front of your children. I am the opposite. When I get fussed at I turn to anger and not sadness. I have a hard time not lashing out with hurtful words and insults and name calling. You sound like you may have a soft and sensitive disposition. You are crying because he is an abusive jerk. Not because you want attention. And if he tell you "you are playing the victim" then you can come back with "then stop playing the abuser".
